The Mecklenburg County Health Department located in Charlotte, North Carolina
contracted EnQue to develop the current version of
www.FitCityChallenge.org. This site promotes healthy life styles
including physical exercise, and healthy eating habits. The obvious long term
benefits are a more fit community with less sedentary type diseases that
can result in huge health care costs savings to society.
Incenting people to use the site and develop healty life styles is a major
effort by the staff at the Mecklenburg County Health Department. One
promotional method is offering their employees time off for meeting
exercise and healthy eating goals.
The www.FitCityChallenge.org site
continues development as several major features are still in development. These
include a recipes module, employer reports area, and online administration
content management.
