Internet Business Planning

Asking basic questions is fundamental for planning an internet business and helps define the scope.

  • Why do you think you want to have an internet presence?
  • What business are you in or want to be in on the internet?
  • What brick and morter business are you currently in?
  • How do you do business now and how do you think that will translate into an internet business?

Planning is the foundation for developing an internet business whether its a new cyberspace business or an existing one  trying to get on the net. We estimate that there is a 4 to 1 time savings in time to implement a cyberspace business with planning. Not only is this crucial but planning helps recognize possible problems areas up front.

The business model of an existing brick and morter business does not necessarily have the same model on the net. Someone selling furniture in a showroom has customers that can come in and inspect the merchandise. Selling the same furniture over the net is a different matter but the potential market reach is huge. While the brick and mortar store has geographical limits the cyberspace one does not making the justification for being on the net obvious. However the cyberspace business model itself requires a modicum of presentation savvy that showcases a business and its products in easy and attractive ways for visitors to the site.

These are just a few of the ideas necessary to begin the internet business development process. We will develop other ideas based on our experiences that will be presented
